Hey fools, this is a non-image post. I just thought id share this idea. I hate how itunes is rated out of 5 stars cuz you dont really get alot of flexibilty. Like 1 start and 2 stars are crap really, then if you like a song you can give it 3,4 or5. But you gotta save that 5 for all time classics, songs that will always be good. So you get to give a “good” song 3 or 4. F-that. You end up with 1963 4star songs and for someone who has a memory like me that doesnt help. And who wants to give a sogn a 3star? Its like”well….. if 2.5 stars would be 50%….a D-..then i gues you get a 3star”. So what i started doing is deleting every song that got a 1-2 star. Then I changed my whole system, I add 5 to every star ratting making it out of 10. If you want to give it 7/10 you rate it 2star 10/10 5stars. i dunno i thoguht it was smart..and neccessarry cuz i cant remember anything ever…
It’s a great idea dude. I just don’t know how long it would take to go back and fix my whole library to that method. It makes complete sense why you would want to do that though. Thanks for the tip.
it can be a hassle to do this but really if you delete all your 1,2 stars (why would you want them?) then you just hav to make all your 3 stars (3/5) into 1 stars (6/10)or 2stars (7/10). then its a pain to decide if each 4star is really a 8 or a 9, either way you rated it 4/5 so you must like it and listening to it another time prolly isnt that bad. This sounds like alot of work but my itunes library is my baby. Also keep in mind you can export your library into an xml docuement to back it up.
Okayyy, now we know ben and ty are high…
